ERUDITE

The ‘ERUDITE Scholar-in-Residence’ programme of the Council has been supporting universities and colleges in the State to create various platforms for interaction with globally renowned scholars, including Nobel Laureates. The programme was launched in 2009. Apart from offering lectures and short-term courses, host institutions in the State are encouraged to utilize the expertise of the visiting scholars for conducting workshops, seminars, collaborative research, curriculum design, etc. among others.

In 2019, the Kerala State Higher Education Council decided to give new dimension to the ‘ERUDITE Scholar-in-Residence’ programme by adding ‘Brain Gain’ to address the challenges associated with brain drain from the State.
