KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMS OF KERALA - A Book from The Kerala State Higher Education Council.

The Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) has proposed a new textbook titled “Knowledge Systems of Kerala”, designed as a compulsory multidisciplinary course for third semester students under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP).

This textbook aims to introduce students to the diverse and rich intellectual, cultural, and scientific traditions of Kerala. It highlights the region’s contributions to knowledge, philosophy, arts, and sciences, encouraging learners to appreciate indigenous systems of thought and their contemporary relevance.

The course is envisioned to promote critical understanding and interdisciplinary learning, helping students connect local wisdom with global perspectives in higher education.
