Quotation Notice

(Empanelment of Book Suppliers)

The Kerala State Higher Education Council intends to prepare two separate panels of book suppliers for the purchase of Indian and foreign books required for the Council Library.

Hence, quotations are invited from competent parties (book houses, book vendors, publishing houses etc.) who are desirous of getting incorporated in the above panels. The panels (one for the supply of Indian books and the other for the supply of foreign books) would be prepared on the basis of following criteria.

1. The discount the quotationer offers on publisher’s price.

2. Potential of the quotationer to supply books of Council’s requirement (books on 

    Higher Education, Education and related topics)

3. Time required for the supply of books

4. Payment conditions

5. Reputation and credentials of the quotationer

6. Quantum of Indian/Foreign. books supplied by the quotationer to leading  

    libraries, including University libraries of the State

The validity of the panels would be up to 31/3/2010. Separate quotations have to be submitted for the panels of Indian Books and Foreign Books. There is no specific form or EMD to submit quotations. But the quotation should contain duly authenticated and sufficiently explained answers to questions which could be raised in relation   with the criteria mentioned above. (The quotationers are also required to substantiate their claims mentioned in the quotations with additional documentary evidences, certificates etc. if the Council demands so. If they fail to produce such evidences, certificates etc within the time limit fixed by the Council, their quotations will be summarily rejected). Quotations should also accompany by:-

1.   Detailed profile of the quotationer

2.   List of publishers whose book the quotationer can supply (Indian/Foreign as applicable)

3.   Client list of the quotationer

Quotations, in sealed cover, superscribing   Quotation-Empanelment of Book Suppliers - Indian Books/Foreign Book should reach the undersigned (The Registrar i/c, The Kerala State Higher Education Council, Science and Technology Museum Campus, Vikas Bhavan P.O, Thiruvananthapuram – 33, Phone- 0471-2301293) before 12 noon on 12^th August 2008. The quotations will be opened on the same day at 3pm by the undersigned or his authorized representative. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation without assigning any reason thereof.
